Events in November 2017

  • There are no events scheduled during this period.

You would never guess such a big geek comes from such a little, cute and unsuspecting package. Raychul’s been gaming since she was 5 years old, has an obsession with collecting action figures, reads more comic books than many, dresses up as her favorite video game characters for fun, and her knowledge of the game industry is rivaled by very few.

How did you get into cosplay?

It was like 2007 and a friend and I were going to our first comic con and she wanted to cosplay together. At first, I thought she was crazy, I mean, dressing up in costumes and going out in public and it wasn’t even Halloween?! That’s nonsense! But I did it and was instantly hooked! I adore really getting to dig into some of my favorite games or characters and making costumes based on my love for them!

Who was your 1st cosplay and why?

My first cosplay was Natalia from the Danger Girl comics, because she’s a total badass…and that’s the group my friend wanted cosplay as for our first con. 😀

What do you geek out about?

Oh man, I geek out about some of the silliest stuff! Obviously, I geek out hard over games, it’s the thing I am most passionate about. But I can also talk someone’s head off about collecting action figures, anything Star Wars, Disney park trivia, knee socks and horror movies.

When you’re not cosplaying, what do you enjoy doing for fun?

It’s actually, when I’m not gaming, I’m cosplaying…not the other way around. Gaming is why I’m a cosplayer, it fuels my love for cosplay. Also, some would say I spend too much time at Disneyland, but I would have to disagree. 

What would your dream job be?

I consider myself so very lucky because I already have my dream job! I interview developers at game conventions and appear on game-related news shows to talk about games professionally. I also make video game content on both of my YouTube channels.

What do you enjoy most about cons?

The fans!!! Oh man, they make life so happy. These guys are fellow gamers and people who are passionate about the same things I am. Meeting people at cons who I have interacted with online is like finally meeting a friend face to face; or maybe they are someone who has no idea who I am, it’s like making a new friend. I adore it!! They make my world go round.
