Alicia Marie is the author of Amazon ‘Reader Favorite’ The Booty Bible – a ‘rear-end’ exercise fit-cyclopedia for women. She is an MTV: Music Television fitness coach, a multi-media fitness personality, as well as an internationally recognized fitness supermodel and celebrity health & diet guru.

Alicia is co-creator of Lionsgate Media’s “30-Day Buttlift” DVD workout series. She is the writer and producer of Los Angeles’ Metro health and nutrition syndicated video series for children/youth, CARDIO WORLD. As a respected fitness and health writer, Alicia is a syndicated columnist for Oxygen magazine and she has penned dozens of features for a multitude of women’s interest magazines including Muscle & Fitness HERS, Fitness RX, SELF and Fitness magazines – as well as celebrity weekly InTouch magazine.

You might recognize Alicia as the celebrity fitness coach from MTV: Music Television’s Emmy-award winning program ‘MADE’ and ‘SUPERMADE’ or as one of “Kirstie Alley’s” trainers-to-be on her A&E self-titled program.

As one of the industry’s most popular and recognizable fitness models, Alicia has been on dozens of magazine covers. She is also a decorated professional fitness and physique competitor with national and international contest titles under her belt.

No stranger to being in print, Alicia Marie has lent her body parts to commercial product endorsement over the years. Her ‘rear’ was the focus of Jergens Firming Body Lotion “You Bet Your Bottom” national ad campaign, David Barton Gym’s billboards and Curel’s body cream national advertisements. Previously, Alicia’s abdominals could be seen as the spotlight of the Eggbeaters “0% Fat” national campaign. A former high fashion and runway model, Alicia has walked for many top designers including Versace, Vivienne Westwood and Anand Jon.

Alicia’s lifelong love of comic book superheroes, video game toons and iconic film characters remains – but now she puts her energies into becoming them. Last year, Alicia was named as one of VH1’s Hottest Cosplayers of the year after eagle-eyed channel reps spotted her nod to Mortal Kombat’s Jade at San Diego Comicon. The Huffington Post featured Alicia’s take on DC Comics bad-girl ‘Poison Ivy’ on the cover of their ‘Freaks and Geeks’ special edition. Alicia is best known for her portrayal of the X-Men’s omega-level mutant STORM….and her Fox Morning News “butt workout” done in full “cosplay.”

With thousands of fans and followers on her many social media sites, Alicia Marie has been able to develop her love of fitness and her knowledge and experience in the health and nutrition industry into international recognition as an endorsed fitness model and athlete, magazine columnist and health expert. Notably, Alicia was crowned by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joe Weide as the magazine’s first ever Ms. Muscle & Fitness Magazine in 2006.

Currently working on her second book, Alicia Marie is a NASM Elite Trainer and she graduated Cum Laude with Honors and Distinction from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Neuroscience. She studied writing for Broadcast and Reporting at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

How did you get into cosplay?

I have always been into “dress-up” and creating. I also love acting and performing. Cosplay is kind of all of that! I get to be the characters I grew up adoring for a weekend or an appearance at least ;)!

Who was your 1st cosplay and why?

STORM. She was one of the first “female” inspirations for me as a little girl – along with my mother, Wonder Woman and She-Hulk. All strong, beautiful women who the kind of role models I wanted – as opposed to all the Barbie dolls I had in my closet.

What do you geek out about?

STAR TREK. Have you seen my Trek Bunny “Uhura” cosplay?

When you’re not cosplaying, what do you enjoy doing for fun?

Working my body at the gym, taking dance classes, playing with my dog Tallulah, writing my next book — or sharing fitness workout moves, videos and tips with my fans on my various social media sites. Find me!!

What would your dream job be?

To be cast as STORM, TIGRA, or MS MARVEL in a MARVEL movie. A girl can dream!

What do you enjoy most about cons?

Meeting fellow nerds and fans of comic book and pop culture genre – the people who appreciate it all! It’s a lot of fun!
